I thought I would mention the unrealsed "Where The Waves Are Highest" track, from the hopeless records volume 5 sampler. it just came out recently, and I must say, to me, it is another instant classic.

As if any Common Rider song wasn't a classic anyway.

I would reccommend that all go out and purchase the sampler, since it is only a meager $2.99, a small price to pay for such a solid, solid track.

Carry on, kids.

Hey. I'm Jenny. I'm new here.
I think that for the music world, or just the world in general, Jesse Michaels is such an important person. Lyrically, he is a genious. (I like your headline, btw.) He stands for so many important ideas. I wish more people thought the way he does. I was heart broken when Common Roder broke up, I had hoped he would keep it going a bit longer. Has anyone heard if he's started anything new yet?
I wish I could say I was old enough to have experienced the magic of Op Ivy, but I was not. It would have been a holy thing to see though.

an op ivy/common rider reunion tour would be amazing. amazing. too bad it wouldn't happen, but it doesn't hurt to dream..

take warning, rudies.

i haven't visited this community in awhile.

not too long ago was the one year anniversary of the breakup of Common Rider. i still remember that date as clear as crystal. i just happened to check out their webpage only to see it posted that they were no long a band. i was disappointed to say the least, never having seen them play live. i knew i'd never get to see OPIV, but there was still hope in seeing Common Rider someday. i think that was the worst part. that and knowing i'd never hear another CR album, obviously.

i just wish i had remembered to post this on the right date, but anyways, here's to Common Rider, and one year without. much love, guys.

hey everyone. great idea for a community. jesse michaels is amazing. we all know that though.

i was just wondering which band everyone prefers: operation ivy or common rider?

i'd have to say operation ivy. mostly because i was listening to them probably a couple of months before i had even heard anything from common rider. plus, though common rider is amazing in their own special way, i like the style of music that op ivy has a little bit more.

jesse is my hero. I wasn't old enough to appreciate OPIV when they were in their element back in 87.. but when I grew up and got into them, it was just about the time jesse began common rider. i fell in love with that band, i still do love them. its too bad jesse cant keep a band together for shit.. hah.. but its ok. he's still the man.. add me if you want. nice community!
